At Last!

I know it has been forever but here is a new post finally! I have a ton of pictures to show you.

I feel as if Christmas has just past and life is still getting back to normal. Every week in the Harvey household as been a week of changes and new possibilities. The biggest news that I would say is 99% happening is that we will be moving to Maui this summer. Mike doesn't have the papers in his hands yet but hopefully he will have them in his hands with a report date in the next couple of weeks. We are both excited and nervous, looking forward to the new adventures that are ahead for us. This news has put a dapper on my winter clearance shopping for next year, but I guess I will manage :)

Unbelievable Nick will be 4 in just a couple of months and kindergarten is just around the corner. Hard to believe that my little man will be starting school soon. He is so excited already. In just the last couple of weeks his letter recognition and writing skills have clicked. It is truly amazing! I totally understand what you kindergarten teachers out there are talking about now and this is just the beginning.

Maiyah is everywhere! She is pulling herself up on anything in sight that looks half ways stable and she is starting to venture into taking some steps to get what she wants. She continues to love her big brother and thinks he is hilarious. She is growling at us, shrieking at us, and laughing. Waits for us to respond and then it repeats all over again. This can go on for 30 minutes or more sometimes. Can't believe Maiyah will be 9 months in just 2 weeks!

Well here come all the pictures I have promised.

We invited those darn Packer fans over, but the cute Seahawks fans weren't enough to win the game. Nick was calling the Green Bay Packers the Green Bean Crackers. I think he has the right name now :)

Nick's favorite new game, Curious George UNO. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Harvey

Baby Food, WHATEVER! I want the good stuff.

Nothing like hanging out with your cousins. "So what new toy did you get? Did you see my new dolly" thanks grandma Karen.

Gina had all 5 kids one night and we did arts and crafts to get ready for Xmas. All the kids were amazingly good. 2 kids is nothing, try 5!

The day Maiyah started crawling! She had so much fun!

Who is in my bed!!! Maiyah is finally back to herself after RSV and a double ear infection.

One of Nick's favorite Xmas gifts, he is loving all his new cars and race tracks. He was literally shouting for joy when he opened them.

CRAWLING!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that Maiyah is crawling and not just inch by inch anymore, but full fledge crawling. Her biggest encouragement for crawling is going after Nicholas's toys! She crawled about 4 feet last night and was grinning from ear to ear. She is also going from her belly to sitting up. Nicholas was so excited to have her crawling. I do have a video from my camera but I don't think I will find time post pictures before we leave for ND tomorrow night.

I will post a ton of pictures after the holidays I promise!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday!

6 months old and counting...

So I should really be posting Thanksgiving pictures but I am excited to share the 6 month old pictures Mike took of Maiyah, some pictures of Nick too and I will save the one we are sending out for Christmas until it comes to your mailboxes! The pictures didn't turn out too bad considering the rush we were in before Mike left for 3 weeks and trying to get something that came out remotely close to my friend Erin's beautiful pictures she took of the kids before she moved. (Erin, Mike is awaiting your expert opinion! )

Actually I think Mike did a wonderful job and I am very pleased. He doesn't know what he started but he will be doing this more often. I think the pictures are awesome...and lets just say the kids weren't very cooperative when we were doing this so I am impressed we got what we did. And as you will see by the pictures Maiyah just might be crawling by Christmas...watch out tree and presents.

Starting to get the Christmas ideas finalized and some of the shopping is already done, but more to do. Can't wait until Christmas is here.

Everyone have fun getting ready for Christmas, don't stress out too much and remember this is supposed to be a fun time with family and friends and a blessed time of year to enjoy doing for others.

Halloween and updates

Well I am a little late but here are some Halloween pictures. We had a big dragon and a little baby dragon this year. Maiyah loved being outside and watching all the kids trick or treating and Nicholas was all about going up to people's doors this year. Last year he was so shy but this year he walked right up and even gave them his dragon roarrrrr! The pictures aren't the best, but here they are anyway.

Here is our big girl, almost 6 months old and her awesome big brother. They are having more and more fun together everyday. Maiyah continues to light up when she sees Nicholas.

Maiyah is getting in her first tooth, it is a sharp one is on her bottom right. She thinks it is hilarious to bite her spoon when feeding her and not let go. She has also transitioned to the 6-12 month room and is loving it! I don't know what happened but since she started transitioning she think she can sit up and is starting to get up on all 4's. I told she really doesn't have to compete with the rest of the kids in her class. (she needs to slow down, she is getting too big already) :( She is talking away and her laugh is so precious. Her favorite hobby is grabbing on tight to anyone's hair she can get a hold of, including her brother's and the dogs' and cat's hair. Luckily Patches and York don't mind at all. I think they kind of like it. Jake just walks away, old boy.

Mike's traveling started again this morning for a week and then we will have him back for Thanksgiving before he leave again for 3 weeks. But we will have plenty to do with the holidays coming up fast.

The First Snow Fall!

Our first snowy day here in Colorado and Maiyah's first chance to play in the snow. Let's just say she had just woken up from a nap and didn't like the wind too much. Our trip outside didn't last much longer then 20 minutes. Daddy was out of town so I got to be baby holder and pull Nick on the sled. Nick wasn't too impressed, he wanted to make a snowman and throw snowballs. "Daddy we need your help, come home soon"

We stayed home all day in our PJ's (except for our outside attire). Had plenty of snuggle time, movies, and playing games. Wish you could have been home with us Daddy.

More pictures finally!

Sorry I haven't put anything on the blog in a month, thought I would be better at this.

We had a very busy September with my girls' trip to Florida, then a trip to Seattle the next week to see Mike's parents and celebrate Mike's birthday and our 5 year anniversary, and then my mom and step-dad visiting. We had Maiyah baptized with her cousin Sam and then I went to a conference in Breckenridge the first week of Oct.

Mike is traveling a lot over the next 3 months, but I am looking forward to a nice relaxing Christmas. So I will attach a bunch of pictures over the last month or so to catch you all up. Lastly my angels are getting so big, Nick continues to amaze me every day and Maiyah is already 5 months old and almost sitting up. Man does time fly. Enjoy the pictures.

Girl's weekend in FL!

Thanks to my wonderful husband I was able to get away for 3 1/2 fun days in Florida with "the book club girls". What a wonderful group of friends, now called "heart friends". 6 out of 9 of us made it, 2 pregos, 2 still breastfeeding, and 2 of us ready to have some real fun. But let's just say it was just like our old book club days back in CO, except for missing Jodi, Brandy, and Susie. A lot of eating, talking, laughing, and crying. Nothing like a group of friends that you can do all that with. PRICELESS!

Here are some pictures of the wonderful women I am lucky to have in my live, thanks ladies!
